#Rio

The "Rio" franchise centers on a series of American computer-animated musical adventure comedy films. The original film, "Rio," released in 2011, was produced by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation and directed by Carlos Saldanha. The narrative follows Blu, a domesticated Spix's macaw from Minnesota, and Jewel, a free-spirited female Spix's macaw from Rio de Janeiro, as they embark on adventures in Brazil. The franchise expanded with a sequel, "Rio 2," in 2014, and a third film is reportedly in development under 20th Century Animation, following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
