The Pharaoh is the spirit of an ancient Egyptian king who resides within the Millennium Puzzle. Initially nameless and sharing a body with the high school student Yugi Muto, he is eventually revealed to be Pharaoh Atem, who sacrificed his life to seal away ancient shadow magic. He is a courageous and noble leader known for his mastery of games and his role in protecting the world from dark forces.
