#Azrael (dc Comics)

Azrael is the alias of Jean-Paul Valley, a genetically engineered vigilante and former assassin for the religious sect known as the Order of St. Dumas. He is best known for temporarily replacing Bruce Wayne as Batman during the Knightfall storyline, where he utilized a high-tech, armored batsuit. His character is defined by his struggle against "The System," a deep-level psychological conditioning that fuels his violent impulses.
