Sonic the Werehog is a bestial, werewolf-like transformation of Sonic the Hedgehog that first appeared in the 2008 video game Sonic Unleashed. This form is triggered by nighttime or darkness and grants Sonic supernatural strength and extendable limbs at the cost of his trademark super speed. Despite his feral appearance and increased aggression, he retains his core heroic personality and will to protect others.
