#WCW

World Championship Wrestling (WCW) was an American professional wrestling promotion founded by Ted Turner in 1988 and based in Atlanta, Georgia. It became a major competitor to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) during the "Monday Night War" era, known for its flagship show Monday Nitro and influential storylines like the New World Order (nWo). WCW's assets were eventually acquired by WWE in 2001.
