Stormtroopers are the iconic elite shock troops of the Galactic Empire in the Star Wars universe. Easily recognizable by their distinctive white plastoid armor, they serve as enforcers of Imperial rule across the galaxy. They were first introduced in the 1977 film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
