#The Backrooms

The Backrooms is a creepypasta and collaborative horror fiction franchise that originated from an anonymous 4chan post in May 2019. It depicts an infinite, extradimensional maze of unsettlingly familiar, empty spaces, characterized by features like mono-yellow walls, moist carpet, and the hum of fluorescent lights. The franchise has expanded significantly through community contributions, web series, video games, and a forthcoming film adaptation, solidifying its status as a prominent example of the liminal space aesthetic.
