“Alvin and the Chipmunks" is a long-running American media franchise centered on a musical group of three anthropomorphic chipmunks: Alvin, the mischievous leader; Simon, the intelligent one; and Theodore, the sweet and sensitive youngest. Created by Ross Bagdasarian Sr. in 1958, the franchise originated as a novelty musical act featuring sped-up vocal recordings. It has since expanded into numerous television series, animated films, and live-action films, consistently managed by Bagdasarian Productions.
