Jade is a fictional character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, created by John Tobias. She debuted as a hidden opponent in Mortal Kombat II (1993) and became a playable character in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995). Originally an assassin for Outworld emperor Shao Kahn, Jade eventually aligns with her childhood friend Princess Kitana to liberate their native realm of Edenia.
