#Andrewsarchus mongoliensis
Andrewsarchus mongoliensis is an extinct genus of mammal that lived during the Middle Eocene epoch, approximately 47.8 to 42.7 million years ago. Known primarily from a single, massive skull discovered in Mongolia, it is considered one of the largest terrestrial carnivorous mammals. Its classification has been debated, but recent analyses suggest it is an artiodactyl, related to modern hippos and whales.
