#Trainer

A Pokémon Trainer is the player character in the Pokémon video games and anime, who embarks on a journey to catch, train, and battle Pokémon. Their main goal is often to become a Pokémon Master by challenging other Trainers and Gym Leaders. The franchise is owned by The Pokémon Company International (which manages the property outside of Asia), Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc., and first appeared in Japan in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Green.
