Mega Man, known as Rockman in Japan, is a humanoid robot hero created by Dr. Light. He is known as the "Blue Bomber" and fights against the evil Dr. Wily and his Robot Masters to save the world. The character first appeared in the game "Mega Man," released in 1987.
