The Silver Surfer is a noble and tormented cosmic entity from the planet Zenn-La, known as Norrin Radd, who sacrificed his freedom to become the herald of Galactus to save his homeworld. Imbued with the Power Cosmic, he travels the cosmos on a silver surfboard. He first appeared in Fantastic Four #48 in March 1966, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
