The character "Stretch" refers to Stretch Armstrong, an iconic gel-filled action figure known for his superhuman elasticity. First introduced in 1976 by Kenner, he can be stretched significantly and return to his original shape. The character has also been adapted into an animated series, "Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters," where he is depicted as Jake Armstrong, a high school student with stretching abilities.
