Matt Hooper is a young, enthusiastic oceanographer specializing in sharks, who is called to Amity Island to investigate a series of deadly shark attacks. Portrayed by Richard Dreyfuss in the 1975 film "Jaws," he brings scientific expertise and modern equipment to the hunt for the great white shark. Hooper forms an unlikely alliance with police chief Martin Brody and grizzled shark hunter Quint, playing a crucial role in their efforts to neutralize the threat.
