Ranma Saotome is the protagonist of the *Ranma 1/2* manga and anime series created by Rumiko Takahashi. He is a teenage martial artist cursed to transform into a girl when splashed with cold water, reverting to his male form with hot water. This transformation is a result of an accident during a training trip in China at the cursed Jusenkyo springs.
