#Medieval Teutonic Knight

The Medieval Teutonic Knight was a member of the Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem, a Catholic military order established in 1190 during the Third Crusade. These knights were distinguished by their white surcoats and mantles featuring a simple black cross, symbolizing their dual role as both religious monks and military defenders. Based primarily at Malbork Castle in Prussia during the Middle Ages, the order was governed by a Grand Master and followed a strict rule centered on hospital service and defense of the faith.
