Ranma Saotome is the male protagonist of the Ranma 1/2 manga and anime series, created by Rumiko Takahashi. He is a skilled teenage martial artist who, due to a curse from a training trip, transforms into a female version of himself when splashed with cold water. Hot water reverses the transformation, returning him to his male form.
