The "Robots in Disguise" franchise encompasses two distinct animated television series within the broader Transformers universe, each with its own associated toy lines. The first iteration, *Transformers: Robots in Disguise* (2001), was an American localization of the Japanese anime *Transformers: Car Robots* (2000). The second series, also titled *Transformers: Robots in Disguise* (2015), is a standalone sequel to *Transformers: Prime*.
