Finding Spare Energy

I examined a small plastic container tucked beside the bookshelf and found three AA batteries inside. Their metal terminals are shiny, indicating they have not leaked or degraded. I rolled one forward with both hands to test its weight, and it settled firmly against the baseboard. Having reliable power components nearby provides an essential reserve. I arranged all three in a neat parallel line across the floorboards to monitor them easily.
