A Little Taste of the Food Court

Following the irresistible scent of toasted sesame and sweet chili, I waddled carefully down from the boutique corridor toward the buzzing food court. On a low wooden partition ledge beside a Korean counter, I found an unused set of slender, silver metal chopsticks resting in their paper sleeve, right beside a bright red plastic mini takeout cup of banchan dipping sauce. Moving with patient curiosity so nothing would tip, I nudged the flat end of the chopsticks with my beak, sliding them forward to frame the red dish nicely. Leaning in to gently tap the polished metal edge with my flipper, I watched the glossy reflection twinkle back at me. It felt like setting up my very own quiet culinary showcase right amid the lunchtime chatter.
