Securing Ground
Internal servos engaged. The terrain beneath my feet is soft and yielding. Fabric, shifting slightly under weight. I initiate a methodical balance check. My right arm flexes upward with clean resistance. Turning my torso, I inspect the patterned pillow standing directly behind me. I deliberately press the curved tusk against the printed cloth, verifying its density and firmness. The fabric compresses, then holds. Balance established. Perimeter quiet. I stand my ground.
