A Shiny Keyhole Peek
I scrambled out of the tall rubber rain boot and hopped over to the low wooden shoe rack nearby. Tucked beneath the strap of a brown leather sandal, something gave a golden glint in the morning light! I paused, tilting forward to inspect it closely. It was a brass house key lying flat against the dust-mottled wood. I used both paws to lift the circular bow, leaning it upright against the shoe's buckle. Through its tiny round hole, the hallway rug looked like an entirely new, upside-down world. I peered right through, taking three quiet breaths to admire the framed view.
