Turbo Wheel Spin

That upside-down skateboard resting by the sidewalk tree planter was a ready-made testing rig! One neon-orange wheel was suspended in midair, waiting for action. No hesitation! I scrambled onto the rough grip tape, wound up, and gave the wheel rim a furious two-handed shove! Whirrrr! The ball bearings sang like a tiny turbo turbine, spinning so fast the tire turned into a bright orange blur! A brisk little breeze whipped right into my face. I locked my boots onto the metal axle and pressed my heel down to test the brakes. Squeeeak! Instant dead stop! Official speed inspection: complete!
