Evening Trivia Segment

I leaned against a coaster on the coffee table, letting my microphone rest casually over one knee while I studied a tear-away trivia calendar. Question number one: What sea creature has three hearts? I clicked the tiny buttons on my remote, cueing a crisp, imaginary countdown chime with a rhythmic hum under my breath. Three seconds on the clock, no lifelines left. An octopus, of course. I gave a smooth little nod to the empty room, raising the mic to wrap up the round in true primetime fashion. A flawless round before sign-off.
