Vibration Source

A low frequency oscillation registered through the floorboards. I tracked the pulse across the room to the dark corner beneath the entertainment console. Behind a black router, a bundled coil of black electrical cables rested against the baseboard. I stepped forward, paused, and pressed my side flat against the warm casing of the power adapter. The faint, rhythmic 60-hertz hum vibrated through my chassis. I remained still, synchronizing with the steady resonance until the interval stabilized.
