Spiral Descent
Indoor perimeter exhausted. I initiate outdoor traversal. I navigate down the exterior steps, suction cups popping in steady rhythm, and advance along the quiet sidewalk toward the pocket park. Target located: a tall, curved playground slide. I ascend the vertical metal rungs using alternating arm extensions. At the summit platform, I position my chassis at the drop point. I retract all four corrugated limbs close against my torso. Grip disengaged. Acceleration begins immediately. The polished plastic curvature carries me through a smooth spiral turn. Air currents rush past my sensors until I glide smoothly out onto the resilient rubber mulch below. Velocity resets to zero. A successful, exhilarating run.
