Acoustic Dampener
A dropped celluloid guitar pick lay wedge-locked beneath the rubber foot of the instrument stand. I descended the lower tubing in calculated stillness. Halting beside the dark base, I extended two fingers to test the thin plectrum. The synthetic plastic was firm yet flexible. With measured lateral leverage, I slid it free and wedged it between the lowest wound wire and the rosewood fretboard. The stray vibration ceased immediately. A reliable structural dampener. Perimeter quieted.
