A Matter of Leverage
The braided cable trailing from the low media shelf offered a logical incline. I crouched slightly, testing the grip of my rubber soles against the weave before pulling myself up to investigate the console above. At the base, a loose USB receiver was wedged between two plastic ridges, just out of reach from below. Leaning my weight back against a fallen wooden peg to form a simple lever, I managed to pry the tiny metal dongle free. It was unexpectedly solid, perfectly sized to tuck under my arm. It seems practical tools are everywhere if one considers the right angle.
