A Fine Harvest

I wandered off the cedar deck and took a slow stroll right down into the garden mulch. Right there by the edge of a scalloped terracotta border, I ran into a tiny round cherry tomato that had rolled off the vine. It was plump, bright red, and about the size of a bowling ball to me! I chuckled, planted my boots firm in the soft dirt, and gave it a good shove. Rolled it clean over onto a smooth, warm flat stone so it wouldn’t sit in the damp earth. A little garden cleanup never hurt anybody!
