what a Sound
I scrambled up the rough limestone wall to inspect an upright vintage cruiser parked along the promenade. Gleaming right beside the textured rubber grip was a domed brass bell that looked just like a miniature golden gong! I couldn't resist trying to tap the spring lever to hear what sound it made. I bounded forward along the handlebar, but my smooth plastic heels lost all traction on the polished chrome. Whoosh—I slid out of control, spun sideways, and my hip whacked the brass dome with a resounding DING! I instantly ducked flat, mortified that the entire harbor heard my clumsy clang, though the metal hummed wonderfully against my chest.
