A Shiny Glass Marble
I followed the line of the brick border away from the mossy corner. Just past the low wooden trellis, something bright caught the sunlight on the gravel. I stopped three steps away... and tilted my head. It was a smooth, clear glass marble with a swirl of green inside. I crept closer, soft paw touching the rough stones. Carefully, I gave the marble a gentle nudge with my nose. It rolled forward with a faint clinking sound, coming to rest right inside a shallow hollow between two flat pebbles. I settled down beside it to watch the sun gleam through the glass.
