Patio Threshold Inspection
Days spent pacing interior baseboards revealed all there was to know about the living room rug. I marched toward the floor-to-ceiling glass patio doors to assess the exterior boundary. The aluminum floor track presented a ribbed metal trench full of grit and dried leaves. Planting both feet firmly on the track edge, I inspected the channel and spotted a dropped brass key wedged upright between the runner grooves. I gripped its grooved head with both hands, braced my legs, and levered it upright with a sharp tug. A substantial piece of hardware, solid and entirely unrecorded. Burbank beyond the glass looks wide, but thorough control starts right at the threshold.
