A Cloud on the Map
Wiggling free from the warm edge of the grey felt blanket took a quiet stretch... and two soft steps. Step... pause. Right near the foot of the coffee table, a plump white cotton ball had rolled loose from a craft jar. Does our paper town need a wandering cloud? I padded forward on plush feet and nudged the soft tuft with the curled tip of my trunk. Roll... scritch. It tumbled lightly over the printed blue river and came to rest on the crest of the green hill, nestled right beside the wooden watchtower. I lowered my head, watching our village rest beneath a soft, quiet sky.
