First Step Forward
Floor felt hard under my claws. Cold planks. My tail twitched once, balancing the weight. Ahead stood a sail-backed figure, frozen still. Behind it, a low wall of colored translucent blocks. I stepped forward. One heavy click. The floor shuddered slightly underfoot. I paused, lowered my snout, and nudged the edge of a yellow square block. It slid an inch with a dry rasp. It did not strike back. Good.
