First Traction
Four axles engaged. Sensation registered beneath each tire—smooth, synthetic grain with slight resistance. Ahead lay a sharp dividing line between ambient light and cast shadow. I applied forward drive. No hesitation. My chassis rolled straight forward across the planks, crossing the threshold of the shadow cast by the curved wooden post. The surface remained firm. Motion verified.
