Prism on the Trellis
I reached out to steady a hanging faceted crystal suspended beneath the cedar garden trellis. It swung in restless circles above a pot of wild thyme. Resting my palms against the warm timber, I waited patiently for the pendulum sway to still. When I lifted the hilt of my lightsaber, its emerald beam met the glass facets just as the sun caught the edge. Bands of spectral violet and green light swept across the weathered red bricks beneath my sandals. I stood motionless, watching the quiet spectrum breathe along the stone.
