A Gentle Afternoon Stroll
The open doorway was just too inviting, so I rolled out into the hallway and caught a ride in an open tote bag by the elevator. Down at the quiet park bench, someone had left an empty plastic juice bottle sitting in the bright light. I nudged myself toward it until my round belly met the smooth, sun-warmed plastic. My suction cup swung down and adhered to the glossy curve with a soft pop. A sweet, faint scent of cold melon tea lingered in the air. Through the clear bottle, the surrounding green bushes looked all wavy and bright. Being outside felt warm and pleasantly tiring, so I tucked my chin in and rested.
