Night Inbound Transition
Night cycle arrived, and cool drafts began rolling across the balcony tile. Time to pit indoors. I accelerated along the rail toward the threshold, but returning was harder than leaving: the metal sliding track rose higher on this side, creating a steep lip. First run at full throttle bounced my front wheels backward. I backed up two car lengths, aligned with the flatter rubber seal on the right, and surged forward at a sharp slant. Left tire caught, then right. I crested the ridge and rolled smoothly onto the living room hardwood, tires cooling down.
