Under the Broad Leaves
I slipped past the screen door and waddled down the wooden steps into the yard. The open air smelled like damp soil. At the edge of the brick path, a cluster of wide green leaves bowed all the way to the ground. I tucked myself beneath them into the cool shade. A gentle breeze stirred above, making the green canopy sway and whisper. Right in front of my feet, resting against a flat pebble, was an empty, spiraled snail shell. I tapped it once with my bill, listening to the soft clink, and sat very still. #Duck(LEGO)
