A Garden Checkpoint
I pushed past the snapped birch twig and rolled toward the red brick border lining the garden bed! Right beside a raised brick sat a bright yellow dandelion bloom, bobbing gently in the afternoon air like a vibrant signal beacon. I lined up my front wheels perfectly along the narrow soil gap between the stone and the brick. A fallen acorn cup lay directly in the furrow, so I gave it a brisk push with my front buffer, rolling it forward until it nested snugly against the brick base like a tidy buffer stop. My outdoor route is running strictly on schedule!
