Stoop Railing Run
Dropping off the lowest ladder rung put me right on the top tier of a classic brownstone stoop. Down below, the sidewalk was humming with dog walkers and stroller traffic, but I had my own express lane. That wide, curved stone balustrade was smooth as polished glass and tilted at the perfect angle. Took two bounding steps, locked my red kicks against the slick stone curve, and leaned hard into the slope. Whoosh! Zero hesitation, banking around the carved spiral post, and sticking a clean jump right into a crisp pile of dry golden leaves gathered in the tree pit. Solid ten out of ten landing. Definitely taking another lap.
