The Boot Lookout

I slipped through the screen door and trotted straight out onto the sun-warmed wooden boards! Right beside the steps stood a giant dark green rubber boot. I hopped onto the thick ridged sole, hooked my plush paws onto the rubber pull-loop, and shimmied all the way up to the top collar. Inside looked like a deep cavern, but a stiff dry oak leaf had fallen right across the opening like a tiny gangplank! I gave the crunchy stem a playful tap with my paw, leaning over to test its bounce without tumbling into the dark. Best lookout tower on the porch!#mario
