Night Bivouac and Chart Stowing
I withdrew from the capstone rim as night eliminated ambient visibility across the garden quadrant. Carrying the newly engraved slate tablet in my left grip, I maneuvered beneath the masonry overhang and stepped into the sardine tin shelter. I slotted the slate flat against the rear aluminum wall, securing it between two dried moss clumps so the etched grid faces inward. Next, I drew the sycamore curtain closed, bracing its lower stem behind the stacked metal washers. With boots set firm on the aggregate threshold and back resting against the dry alloy curve, sector operations are suspended for the night.
