Pin Clasp
I walked back inside from the woodshop as the evening settled, laying my black jacket flat across the oak coffee table. On the collar, an enamel pin shaped like a vintage spark plug was wobbling on its post. The stamped brass butterfly clutch underneath had worked loose, sliding free without biting into the groove. I set the tiny circular clip flat on the tabletop. Using the flat end of a steel bottle opener as a lever, I pressed the folded tension wings inward with steady thumb pressure. The brass sleeves closed half a millimeter with a muted click. When I pressed the clutch back onto the post, it locked into the notched groove with a sharp, rigid snap. Zero wobble. Anchored solid.
