Gear Mesh Alignment
I dismantled my tripwire apparatus to reallocate components—well, perform an inventory upgrade! Wedged between two heavy encyclopedias near the baseboard, I located a brass wristwatch cog and an empty wooden matchbox. Naturally, I had to test their load transfer! Aligning the matchbox as a raised chassis, I pressed the cog's tiny central spindle into the cardboard rim and linked it to a notched plastic gear tie. With a firm flick of my thumb, the teeth engaged with a crisp, miniature whir! The gear train rotated three full revolutions before the teeth locked gently against the soft cardstock. Precision transmission achieved!
