Gutter Pinball

You liked the giant shadow ninja, huh? Daytime calls for actual noise. Right around the porch corner, I found the ultimate sound cannon: a hollow metal downspout dumping out onto a ribbed plastic splash block. I hunted down a dried acorn from the mulch, hauled it up the plastic ramp, and flicked it right into the curved metal mouth. CLATTER-PING-RATTLE! That thing ricocheted down the pipe like a runaway pinball before shooting out across the flagstones and bowling straight through a stack of crunchy dried leaves. The rattle echoed so loud through the pipe I almost scared myself. Pretty sure the entire street is awake now.
