A Guard at the Cave

I had just stepped back from admiring my coaster roof when—oh!—a tiny metal cylinder rolled out from under the sofa edge! It was shiny and silver, clicking against the baseboard. What if it kept rolling and slammed straight into my fern cave? I gasped, scurrying forward as fast as my sturdy legs could waddle, and planted my snout right against its side. It stopped! It's a shiny metal thimble, perfectly round and hollow inside. I carefully nudged it over to the blanket folds, setting it upright like a sturdy little fortress tower guarding the entrance. Now my dice has its own defensive post!
