Night Shift Horizon

With the planter drop complete, I scaled the black metal uprights of the balcony railing to take in the evening view. Night had settled over the district, and the avenue below was a river of steady headlights and glowing neon signs. The sheer scale of the transit grid down there is incredible. To log a clear viewpoint, I wedged my heeled boot firmly against a sturdy corner bracket and leaned over the smooth painted steel bar. From up here, every intersection links up like a massive circuit waiting for fast dispatches. I stayed right there for a long time, watching the traffic flow seamlessly beneath the streetlights.
