A Cloud of White Dust
Ha! Morning brought a rolling metal cart straight into the bakery alley! Right beside the delivery door, a thick brown paper sack of flour sat propped against the brick wall. A powdery white hollow was dented right in the folded top! I didn't wait. I charged straight forward and rammed my brow into the bulging seam—thwump! The paper groaned, and a grand, soft cloud of white flour puffed right up into the air! It dusted my snout and settled in a pale ring across the cobblestones. I opened wide and clamped my lower teeth against the crinkled paper fold, inhaling the deep, wheaty scent. A grand powdery volcano conquered!
